In 1984, the concept for the Children's Hospital and Institute of
Child Health in Lahore was presented at the Pakistan Paediatric Association's
annual meeting; the foundation stone was placed in 1990, the OPD Block was
operationalized in May 1995, and emergency services began in October 1996.
Since December 18, 1998, the Children's Hospital has offered inpatient
treatments. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and
outpatient services, as well as diagnostic services.
The Institute of Child Health offers postgraduate training in a
variety of fields to a significant number of doctors, as well as performing
research initiatives. The School of Nursing and the School of Allied Health
Sciences are also part of the institute.
Pharmacists are needed on a contract basis at Children Hospital
& The Institute of Child Health in Lahore. Candidates with a Pharm-D degree
(Category A registration with the Punjab Pharmacy Council) are eligible to
apply. Candidates with prior experience working in a community pharmacy will be
given preference.
