WAPDA Profile:
In 1958, an Act of Parliament established the Pakistan Water and
Power Development Authority (WAPDA). It is a statutory and independent entity
that is administered by the Federal Government. A Chairman and three Members
make up the Authority (Water, Power, and Finance). Wapda's Power wing was
unbundled in 2007, and its tasks were characterized as Hydel Power Generation
and Power House Operation and Maintenance (O&M). Following the unbundling
of its power wing, WAPDA's responsibility now includes the effective
exploitation of water and hydropower resources.
WAPDA is working diligently to harness the country's water and
hydropower resources in accordance with its mandate. The goal is to provide
inexpensive, clean electricity that will help consumers save money by lowering
their power bills. The construction of water storage will satisfy water demand
while also assisting in flood control.

WAPDA is seeking Sr. Vigilance Officer – Field, Inspector Vigilance
