INSTRUCTIONS
|
|
1.
|
The maximum age is 55 years old (relaxable by two years
by the competent authority on recommendation of the Selection Board).
|
|
2.
|
In the first instance, candidates who meet the HEC's
criteria for the position of Professor will be considered, and a candidate
from among them will be chosen as Director in BS-21.
|
|
3.
|
In the event that no applicant fits the standards for
the position of Professor, candidates who match the HEC's criteria for
Associate Professor will be evaluated, and the selected individual will be
appointed as Director in BS-20.
|
|
4.
|
The position would be for a four-year period. If the
chosen candidate is not a member of the center, he or she will be appointed
on a deputation or contract basis.
|
|
5.
|
In addition to filling out the online application form,
candidates must include the following information.
|
|
|
a) Service Duration
|
|
|
|
b) Number of research publications (mention Impact
Factor/Category) / Books / Monographs / Patents
|
|
|
c) Academic achievement (number of M.Phil./Ph.D.
produced, awards, research funding, HEC best teacher award) d) Post-doctoral
qualifications
|
|
|
|
f) Administrative knowledge
|
|
|
|
Holders of foreign degrees must present an equivalency
certificate issued by the HEC.
|
|
6.
|
The job would be for a duration of four years. If the
selected applicant is not a center member, he or she will be appointed on a
deputation or contract basis.
|
|
7.
|
On the required form, candidates should submit their
application together with photocopies of their testimonials, research
work/publications, photograph (1x1), certificate of any distinction, and so
on.
|
|
8.
|
Candidates who are currently employed should apply
through the right channels by the deadline and produce service
certifications from their current and previous employers; otherwise, their
applications will be rejected. Incomplete applications (in any situation)
and applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
|
|
9.
|
The job would be for a duration of four years. If the

In the relevant column of the specified form, candidates
should write the date of notification/result as well as the duration of
their degree.
|
|
11.
|
According to HEC policy, research publications will be
approved.
|
|
Fee:
|
|
12.
|
Candidates are
required to pay a fee of Rs.5000/- at any HBL or UBL branch.
|
|
13.
|
The fee must be
paid on the appropriate challan form, which may be obtained online, and the
original receipt must be submitted with the physical copy of the
application form.
|
|
14.
|
The University
will not accept a bank draught, pay order, check, or another similar instrument as payment.
|
|
15.
|
Applications that
are not accompanied by fee deposit receipts will be rejected.
|

All positions will
be filled according to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional
Training/University of Punjab requirements.
|
|
18.
|
Hard copies of
completed online application forms should be delivered to the Registrar's
office (Human Resource Branch, Admin. Block, Room No.19), University of the
Punjab Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore, during office hours, within 6 days of
the advertisement's closing date by registered mail. Handwritten
applications will not be accepted.
