The Punjab Power Development Company Limited (PPDCL):
The Punjab Power Development Company Limited (PPDCL) is a
government-owned corporation that was established in 1984 under Section 32 of
the Companies Ordinance. In January of 2008, the firm was founded. The
company's goal is to build power production projects using various technologies
for sale to the National Grid (National Transmission and Dispatch Company-NTDC)
or distribution companies. PPDCL also aspires to provide economically feasible
quality electric power in bulk to Industrial Estates or retail electric supply
to industrial units in Industrial Estates. The Punjab government has
established a fast-track development program for public-sector projects.
